Rick Miller is a Bloomington, Illinois based photographer who has captured breath taking images on five different continents across the globe. With nearly four decades of photography experience, he is known and respected for his keen, patient eye and neo-vintage style. His published work includes truly diverse images of world cultures, astonishing wildlife photography on the African plains, sweeping panoramic landscapes from around the world, volcanic activity in South America, life & lifestyle images of various nations and striking photos of European and Middle Eastern World Heritage sites. Rick is the third and newest member of our staff. With much delight, we are pleased to welcome Rick to our team!

This lighthearted look at the 2024 Cicada emergence seeks to have fun with this small Mid-American nuisance. With parts of Illinois set to be a major focal point, some are calling the state 'The Cicada Capital of the U.S. and even 'ground zero'. Our staff will travel throughout Illinois where we will mix with the local residents, highlighting the festivities that accompany this event and how they will deal with the consequences of the emergence. This piece will include some of the finest photographic documentation of the emergence available to the public. We'll provide you with a ring side view of this once in a multi-generational emergence. Our team will conclude the documentation in De Witt County where three broods, the Great Southern Brood, the Northern Illinois Brood and stragglers from the Mississippi Valley Brood have the possibility of converging. Our piece will deviate from the dreary portrait portrayed from the mainstream which more often than not sells advertisement space. Join us this summer!
